Student Service

"Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me" - Matthew 25:40

At St. Michael's School, we believe that service is more than just volunteering. It's about building character, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to making a difference. We believe that service is a calling. Inspired by Christ’s example of love and compassion, our students are encouraged to live out their faith through acts of kindness, generosity, and community involvement. Whether you're looking to fulfill service hours or simply give back, we offer a wide range of opportunities to help our Junior High students grow through service. You have the power to make a difference and every small act of service is a step toward becoming the person God calls you to be.

Junior High Students are required to complete 24 hours of service in order to receive their Sacrament of Confirmation.  Students who are involved with the National Junior Honors Society is also required to complete 10 hours of service. For National Junior Honor Society, a minimum of 8 hours out of the 10 is tutoring St. Michael students. The remaining hours must benefit the school either tutoring, being a tour guide for Open House, support Kindergarten events, or other approved classroom support which would come from Mrs. Stempin. To learn more about the requirements, please reach out to Director of Religious Education, Mrs. McCarthy, or our NJHS staff lead, Mrs. Stempin.
