The 8th grade students completed a project called Keep It Moving at the end of their Electricity Unit and start of the Motion and Forces Unit. The students had to apply what they learned about circuits to make battery-operated model cars. The cars were constructed using basic components (cardboard, wooden dowels, brackets, wheels, a motor, and rubber bands). The goal was for the car to move a least one meter. Students were challenged with the project, and all the students were successful in getting their cars to move!
